About Football Trivia UK

Football Trivia UK is an independent website run by a football fan in the UK. It is home to The Connection, a free football trivia game made for pubs, group chats and long car journeys.

Why we made it

Every football fan has had the argument: which players have played for both of these clubs? The Connection turns that argument into a game. You get two clubs and a country, and you race your mates to name the player who links them. It is quick to learn, works for any number of players and gets competitive very quickly.

How the answers are checked

The verified deck holds more than 500 connections between Premier League clubs. Each player's clubs were checked against his career record before the rounds were added, and every reveal shows the clubs so you can see why the answer counts. We are fans, not a statistics provider, so if you spot a mistake please let us know and we will correct it.

What is on the site

• The Connection, the game itself, free to play with no sign-up.
• How to play, the full rules and suggested house rules.
• Articles on the players, countries and transfers behind the game.

Advertising

The site is free to use and is paid for by advertising. Ads are clearly labelled and kept away from the game controls. You can read how advertising cookies work on our privacy page.
